Effects of microfracture repair combined with arthroscopic all-inside suture in treatment of patients with horizontal meniscus tear
Objective:To observe effects of microfracture repair combined with arthroscopic all-inside suture in treatment of patients with horizontal meniscus tear. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with horizontal meniscus tear admitted to this hospital from September 2020 to September 2022.They were divided into study group and control group according to the random number table method,43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with arthroscopic all-inside suture, while the study group was treated with microfracture repair on the basis of that of the control group. The healing rate, the pain degree[numerical rating scale(NRS)]score before and after the surgery, the knee joint function(Lysholm knee joint function,Tegner knee joint movement)scores, and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The healing rate of the study group was 95.35%(41/43),which was higher than 76.74%(33/43)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3 and 6 months after the surgery, the NRS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, those of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).6 months after the surgery, the Lysholm scores and the Tegner scores of the two groups were higher than those before the surgery, those of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 4.65%,which was lower than 18.60%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Microfracture repair combined with arthroscopic all-inside suture in the treatment of the patients with horizontal meniscus tear can improve the healing rate and the knee function scores and reduce the NRS scores and the incidence of postoperative complications. Moreover,it is superior to single arthroscopic all-inside suture.
