Effects of modified Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with Gestrinone in treatment of patients with endometriosis
Objective:To observe effects of modified Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with Gestrinone in treatment of patients with endometriosis.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 84 patients with endometriosis admitted to this hospital from April 2021 to January 2023.They were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,42 cases in each.The control group was treated with Gestrinone,while the study group was treated with modified Xuefu Zhuyu decoction on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the TCM syndrome scores before and after the treatment,the levels of inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),interleukin-6(IL-6)],and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 95.24%(40/42),which was higher than 76.19%(32/42)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as lumbosacral pain,atrial pain,abdominal pain and being upset in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α,MCP-1 and IL-6 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Modified Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with Gestrinone in the treatment of the patients with endometriosis can improve the total effective rate of treatment and reduce the TCM syndrome scores and the levels of inflammatory factors.Moreover,it is superior to single Gestrinone treatment.
