Effects of Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu prescription combined with Danshen injection in treatment of patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy
Objective:To observe effects of Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu prescription combined with Danshen injection in treatment of patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 124 patients with NPDR admitted to the hospital from March 2021 to March 2023.They were divided into control group and observation group by using the random number table method,62 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Danshen injection,while the observation group was treated with Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu prescription on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the TCM syndrome score,the hemorheology index levels,the fundus related index levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.55%(58/62),which was higher than 80.65%(50/62)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as dry eyes,blurred vision,shortness of breath,fatigue,oropharyngeal dryness and spontaneous sweating in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of erythrocyte aggregation index,plasma viscosity,whole blood high shear viscosity and whole blood low shear viscosity of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The number of microaneurysms in the two groups were less than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was less than that in the control group;the area of vascular leakage and the area of capillary non-perfusion area in the two groups were smaller than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group;the retinal circulation time of the two groups was shorter than that before the treatment,and that in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the treatment,there were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusions:Yiqi Yangyin Mingmu prescription combined with Danshen injection in the treatment of the NPDR patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment,reduce the TCM syndrome scores and the levels of hemorheological indexes,and improve the levels of fundus related indexes.Moreover,it is superior to single Danshen injection treatment.
