Comparison of effects of laparoscopic and open ovarian cystectomy in treatment of patients with ovarian cysts
Objective:To compare effects of laparoscopic and open ovarian cystectomy in treatment of patients with ovarian cysts. Methods:The clinical data of 80 patients with ovarian cysts admitted to this hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,40 cases in each. The control group was treated with open ovarian cystectomy, while the observation group was treated with laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy. The operation related index levels, the levels of sex hormones[follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2)]before and after the surgery, the levels of cellular immune function indexes, the levels of ovarian reserve function indexes[inhibin B,anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH),antral follicle count],and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was less than that in the control group, the intestinal exhaust time and the first out-of-bed time were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the surgery, the levels of FSH,LH and CD8+ in the two groups were higher than those before the surgery, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;the levels of inhibin B,AMH,E2,CD3+ and CD4+ in the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, but those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group;the antral follicles count in the two groups were less than that in the control group, but those before the surgery was more than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00%(2/40),which was lower than 20.00%(8/40)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy for the patients with ovarian cysts can reduce the intraoperative blood loss, shorten the intestinal exhaust time and the first out-of-bed time, reduce the effects on the patients'sex hormones, immune function, ovarian reserve function, and reduce the incidence of complications. Moreover,it is superior to open surgery.
