Application effects of Moxa salt package hot compress combined with acupoint massage on natural childbirth primiparas
Objective:To observe application effects of Moxa salt package hot compress combined with acupoint massage on natural childbirth primiparas.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 106 primiparas who underwent natural delivery in this hospital from August 2019 to August 2022.They were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,53 cases in each group.The control group was given routine analgesia nursing(Lamaze breathing pain relief method combined with delivery ball midwifery),while the observation group was given the Moxa salt package hot compress combined with acupoint massage on the basis of those of the control group.The pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score,the labor time,the comfort degree before and after the intervention[general comfort questionnaire(GCQ)],and the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results:The VAS scores of the first,second and third stages of labor in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The first,second,third stage of labor and the total labor time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention,the GCQ scores of physiology,psychology,social culture and environment in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the observation group was 3.77%(2/53),which was lower than 15.09%(8/53)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Moxa salt package hot compress,acupoint massage combined with conventional analgesia can reduce the pain degree of the primiparas in natural childbirth,shorten the labor process,improve the comfort scores,and reduce the incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes.Moreover,it is superior to single conventional non-drug analgesia.
