Effects of Zinc sulfate oral liquid combined with Bovine basic fibroblast growth factor for external use in treatment of patients with recurrent oral ulcer
Objective:To observe effects of Zinc sulfate oral liquid combined with Bovine basic fibroblast growth factor for external use in treatment of patients with recurrent oral ulcer.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 120 patients with recurrent oral ulcer admitted to this hospital from March 2020 to June 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Bovine basic fibroblast growth factor for external use,while the observation group was treated with Zinc sulfate oral solution on the basis of that of the control group.The total effective rate,the masticatory efficiency at different time(before the treatment,3,5 and 7 days after the treatment),the pain visual analogue scale(VAS)score at different time(before the treatment,3,5 and 7 days after the treatment),and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 98.33%,which was significantly higher than 86.67%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3,5 and 7 days of treatment,the masticatory efficiencies of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3,5 and 7 days of treatment,the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Zinc sulfate oral liquid combined with Bovine basic fibroblast growth factor for external use in the treatment of the patients with recurrent oral ulcer can improve the total effective rate and the masticatory efficiency,and reduce the VAS scores.Moreover,it is superior to single Bovine basic fibroblast growth factor for external use treatment.
