Effects of Wenxin granules combined with Nitroglycerin in treatment of patients with atrial fibrillation
Objective:To observe effects of Wenxin granules combined with Nitroglycerin in treatment of patients with atrial fibrillation.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 72 patients with atrial fibrillation admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to September 2021.They were divided into control group and observation group according to the two-color ball method,36 cases in each.The control group was treated with Nitroglycerin,while the observation group was treated with Wenxin granules on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the frequency of atrial fibrillation,the duration of atrial fibrillation,the heart rate,the TCM syndrome score,the cardiac function indexes[P wave dispersion(Pd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and left atrial diameter(LAD)]levels,and the serological indexes[N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)]levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.22%(35/36),which was higher than 77.78%(28/36)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the duration of atrial fibrillation in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,the frequency was less than that in the control group,the heart rate was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes such as palpitation,dizziness,fatigue and chest tightness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The LVEF level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the levels of LAD and Pd were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the levels of NT-proBNP and hs-CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Wenxin granules combined with Nitroglycerin in the treatment of the patients with atrial fibrillation can improve the total effective rate of treatment,shorten the duration of atrial fibrillation,reduce the frequency of atrial fibrillation,improve the levels of cardiac function indexes,reduce the heart rate,the TCM syndrome scores and the serological index levels.Moreover,it is superior to single Nitroglycerin treatment.
