Effects of modified Taohong Siwu decoction combined with Aspirin enteric-coated tablets in treatment of patients with transient ischemic attack
Objective:To observe effects of modified Taohong Siwu decoction combined with Aspirin enteric-coated tablets in treatment of patients with transient ischemic attack(TIA).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 156 patients with TIA admitted to this hospital from July 2021 to November 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,78 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Aspirin enteric-coated tablets,while the observation group was treated with modified Taohong Siwu decoction on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical effects,the hemorheology indexes(plasma viscosity,whole blood high shear viscosity,whole blood low shear viscosity)levels,the blood flow velocity of basilar artery,the dizziness assessment rating scale(DARS)score,the dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)score,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.15%,which was significantly higher than 82.05%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the blood flow velocity of basilar artery in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the plasma viscosity,whole blood low shear viscosity,whole blood high shear viscosity as well as the DARS and DHI scores were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Modified Taohong Siwu decoction combined with Aspirin enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of the patients with transient ischemic attack can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the blood flow velocity of basilar artery and reduce the levels of hemorheology indexes,the DARS scores and the DHI scores.Moreover,it is superior to single Aspirin enteric-coated tablets treatment.
