Effects of Xiaofeng decoction combined with Fluticasone propionate cream in treatment of patients with chronic eczema
Objective:To observe effects of Xiaofeng decoction combined with Fluticasone propionate cream in treatment of patients with chronic eczema.Methods:The clinical data of 70 patients with chronic eczema admitted to this hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods,35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Fluticasone propionate cream,while the observation group was treated with Xiaofeng decoction on the basis of that of the control group.Both groups were treated for 28 d.The clinical efficacy,the symptom severity[eczema area and severity index(EASI)]score,the inflammatory factors[interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-17(IL-17)]levels,the skin barrier function index[skin oil(SC),transepidermal water loss(TEWL),stratum corneum water content(WCSC)]level before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.29%(33/35),which was higher than 77.14%(27/35)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the EASI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of IFN-γ,TNF-α,IL-17 and TEWL in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the levels of SC and WCSC were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Xiaofeng decoction combined with Fluticasone propionate cream in the treatment of the patients with chronic eczema can improve the total effective rate of treatment,reduce the symptom severity scores and the inflammatory factor levels,and improve the levels of skin barrier function indexes.Moreover,it is superior to single Fluticasone propionate cream treatment.
