Comparison of effects of skin soft tissue expansion and compoSTTe skin grafting in patients with burn plastic surgery
Objective:To compare effects of skin soft tissue expansion and compoSTTe skin grafting in patients with burn plastic surgery.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 68 patients with burn plastic surgery admitted to the hospital from December 2019 to December 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,34 cases in each.The observation group was treated with skin soft tissue expansion,while the control group was treated with compoSTTe skin grafting.The clinical efficacy,the postoperative pain numerical rating scale(NRS)score,the wound healing time,the blood supply recovery time,the quality of life[burn specific health scale-brief(BSHS-B)],the scar score[Vancouver scar scale(VSS)],the serum inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1α(IL-1α)]levels before and after the surgery,and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.12%(32/34),which was higher than 76.47%(26/34)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The postoperative NRS,VSS scores and the serum levels of TNF-α and IL-1α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the wound healing time and blood supply recovery time were shorter than those in the control group,the BSHS-B score was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of complications in the observation group was 8.82%(3/34),which was lower than 29.41%(10/34)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Skin soft tissue expansion is superior to compoSTTe skin grafting in the patients with burn plastic surgery.It can reduce the postoperative pain and the inflammatory response,inhibit the scar formation,shorten the wound healing and the blood supply recovery time,reduce the incidence of complications,and improve the quality of life.
