Application effects of quality control circle management in pharmacy intravenous admixture service
Objective:To observe application effects of quality control circle management in pharmacy intravenous admixture service(PIVAS).Methods:A total of 46 nurses in PIVAS of this hospital from January to December 2020 were selected as the control group, and routine management was implemented.A total of 46 nurses in PIVAS of the hospital from January to December 2021 were selected as the observation group, and the quality control circle management was used. The awareness rate of preparation safety knowledge, the error rate of drug preparation and the extension rate of drug delivery time were compared between the two groups. Results:The awareness rates of preparation safety knowledge such as drug preparation process, drug incompatibility, drug dose conversion, correct evaluation of patients before medication, drug infusion process, and observation points during infusion in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The error rate of drug preparation in the observation group was 0.48%(12/2500),which was lower than 2.32%(58/2500)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the extension rate of drug delivery in the observation group was 0.36%(9/2500),which was lower than 2.48%(62/2500)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The quality control circle management in PIVAS can improve the awareness rate of preparation safety knowledge, and reduce the error rate of drug preparation and the extension rate of drug delivery time. Moreover,it is superior to the routine management.
