Influencing factors of stigma in elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer after ileal loop ileostomy
Objective:To analyze influencing factors of stigma in elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer after ileal loop ileostomy. Methods:The clinical data of 136 elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer who underwent ileal loop ileostomy in this hospital from July 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The incidence of stigma in these elderly patients was statistically analyzed.Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of stigma in the elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer after ideal loop ileostomy. Results:There were 101 patients with stigma after ideal loop ileostomy in the 136 elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer, accounting for 74.26%,and they were set as the occurrence group. There were 35 patients without stigma, accounting for 25.74%,and they were set as the non-occurrence group. The proportions of the patients living in rural areas, with ostomy complications, and medical payment at their own expense in the occurrence group were higher than these in the non-occurrence group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that living in rural areas, having stoma complications, and medical payment at their own expense were all risk factors for stigma in the elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer after ileal loop ileostomy(OR>1,P<0.05).Conclusions:Current residence in rural areas, having stoma complications, and medical payment at their own expense are the risk factors for stigma in elderly patients with obstructive intestinal cancer after ileal loop ileostomy.
