Application effects of micro-implant anchorage in orthodontic treatment of patients with malocclusion deformities
Objective:To observe application effects of micro-implant anchorage in orthodontic treatment of patients with malocclusion deformities. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 84 patients with malocclusion deformities undergoing orthodontic treatment admitted to the hospital from July 2020 to July 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,42 cases in each group. The control group was given traditional anchorage treatment, while the observation group was given the micro-implant anchorage treatment. The level of tooth structure related indicators, the comfort score, the clinical efficacy, and the incidence of adverse events were compared. Results:The of molar displacement in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group, the upper central incisor convex distance difference and the upper central incisor inclination difference were larger than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The comfort score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.24%(40/42),which was higher than 76.19%(32/42)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The application of micro-implant anchorage in the orthodontic treatment of the patients with malocclusion deformities can improve the total effective rate and the comfort scores and improve the levels of tooth structure related indicators. Moreover,it is superior to the traditional anchorage therapy.
