Application effects of early rehabilitation training in children with severe viral encephalitis
Objective:To observe application effects of early rehabilitation training in children with severe viral encephalitis(SVE).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 82 children with SVE admitted to this hospital from February 2021 to February 2023.They were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,41 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation training, while the study group was given the early rehabilitation training. The brain electrophysiological conditions, the adaptive behavior[social adaptive behavior(SAB)]score, and the motor function[simplified Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the training. Results:After the training, the scores of electroencephalogram and brainstem evoked potential in the two groups were higher than those before the training, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SAB scores of independent function, cognitive function and social/self-control in the two groups were higher than those before the training, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the FMA scores of upper limbs and lower limbs in the two groups were higher than those before the training, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The early rehabilitation training in the children with SVE can improve the electrophysiological conditions, the adaptability and the motor function. Moreover,it is superior to the routine rehabilitation training.
