Application effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with rehabilitation training in patients with hemiplegic foot drop after stroke
Objective:To observe application effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with rehabilitation training in patients with hemiplegic foot drop after stroke. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 94 patients with hemiplegic foot drop after stroke admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to April 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group,47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation training, while the study group was treated with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the walking function[Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA),functional ambulation category(FAC)]scores, the gait analysis parameters(stride frequency, pace, stride length, stride width),and the rehabilitation satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 76.60%(36/47),which was higher than 51.06%(24/47)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the FMA and FAC scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The stride frequency, pace, stride length and stride width of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the rehabilitation satisfaction of the study group was 87.23%(41/47),which was higher than 68.09%(32/47)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with the rehabilitation training in the patients with hemiplegic foot drop after stroke can improve the total effective rate of treatment, the walking function scores, the gait analysis parameter levels and the rehabilitation satisfaction. Moreover,it is superior to single rehabilitation training.
