Effects of Yangyin Jieyu Shugan decoction combined with conventional western medicine in treatment of perimenopausal syndrome
Objective:To observe effects of Yangyin Jieyu Shugan decoction combined with conventional western medicine in treatment of perimenopausal syndrome.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 85 patients with perimenopausal syndrome admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to January 2023.They were divided into study group(43 cases)and control group(42 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with Estradiol tablets/Estradiol dydrogesterone tablets composite packaging,while the study group was treated with Yangyin Jieyu Shugan decoction on the basis of that of the control group.The levels of sex hormones[follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2)],the endometrial blood flow parameters[resistance index(RI),pulse index(PI)]levels,the traditional Chinese medical(TCM)syndrome score,the clinical symptom score,the clinical efficacy,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:After the treatment,the levels of FSH and LH in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group;the levels of E2 in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the study group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of RI and PI in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes such as lumbar and knee pain,hot flashes and sweating,and mental fatigue in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Kupperma scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,that in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.35%(41/43),which was higher than 78.57%(33/42)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Yangyin Jieyu Shugan decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of perimenopausal syndrome can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of sex hormone indexes,and reduce the endometrial blood flow parameters,clinical symptom scores and TCM syndrome scores.Moreover,it is superior to the conventional western medicine treatment.
