Application effects of stepped rehabilitation nursing in elderly patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures
Objective:To observe application effects of stepped rehabilitation nursing in elderly patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 80 elderly patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures admitted to this hospital from May 2020 to May 2022.They were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received the stepped rehabilitation nursing. The lumbar function[Oswestry disability index(ODI),the Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)]score, the pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, the negative emotion[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)]score, the quality of life score, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:After 4 and 12 weeks of nursing, the JOA scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group;the ODI scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 and 12 weeks of nursing, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 and 12 weeks of nursing, the SAS score and SDS score of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 and 12 weeks of nursing, the scores of mental health, physical function and muscle pain in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 97.50%(39/40),which was higher than 80.00%(32/40)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The stepped rehabilitation nursing in the elderly patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures can improve the lumbar function and the quality of life, reduce the degree of pain, improve the negative emotions, and thus improve the nursing satisfaction. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
