Application effects of multidisciplinary collaborative fast track surgery concept nursing in elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation
Objective:To observe application effects of multidisciplinary collaborative fast track surgery(FTS)nursing in elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 78 elderly patients with LDH admitted to the hospital from June 2020 to June 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, while the observation group was treated with multidisciplinary collaborative FTS nursing. The pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, the perioperative index levels, the lumbar function[Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)]score, and the quality of life[the MOS 36-item short form health survey(SF-36)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:At 48 h after the surgery, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The first feeding time, the first anal exhaust time, the first out-of-bed time and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the JOA scores of clinical signs, subjective symptoms, limitation of daily activities and bladder function in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the SF-36 scores of physiological function, emotional function, physical pain, vitality, social function, mental health, physiological role and general health status in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The multidisciplinary collaborative FTS nursing in the elderly patients with LDH can improve the lumbar function scores and the quality of life scores, and reduce the VAS scores, the perioperative index levels and the incidence of complications. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
