Application effects of authorized education combined with guided imagery relaxation nursing in elderly patients with cataract surgery
Objective:To observe application effects of authorized education combined with guided imagery relaxation nursing in elderly patients with cataract surgery.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 114 elderly patients undergoing cataract surgery admitted to the hospital from October 2019 to October 2021.They were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,57 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the study group was given authorized education combined with guided imagery relaxation nursing on the basis of that of the control group.The scores of negative emotions[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)],quality of life[low vision quality of life scale(LVQOL)],visual function[visual function scale(VF-14)],and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing.Results:After the nursing,the scores of HAMA and HAMD in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the scores of LVQOL dimensions such as far vision,adjustment ability,fine work and daily life in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the VF-14 score of the study group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the study group was 98.25%(56/57),which was higher than 85.96%(49/57)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Authorized education combined with guided imagined relaxation nursing applied to the elderly patients with cataract surgery can reduce the negative emotion scores and improve the quality of life scores,the visual function scores and the nursing satisfaction.Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
