Effects of Acetylcysteine atomization combined with bronchofiberscope alveolar lavage in treatment of children with lobar pneumonia
Objective:To observe effects of Acetylcysteine atomization combined with bronchofiberscope alveolar lavage in treatment of children with lobar pneumonia.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 112 children with lobar pneumonia admitted to this hospital from March 2020 to March 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,56 cases in each group.The control group was treated with bronchofiberscope alveolar lavage,while the study group was treated with Acetylcysteine atomization on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the symptom improvement time and the hospitalization time,the lung function indexes[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF)]levels before and after the treatment,the inflammatory indexes[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),procalcitonin(PCT)]levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 96.43%(54/56),which was higher than 82.14%(46/56)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The cough and sputum disappearance time,the lung rale disappearance time,the body temperature recovery time,the lung imaging improvement time and the hospitalization time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of FEV1,FVC and PEF in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,those in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α,IL-1β and PCT in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Acetylcysteine atomization combined with bronchofiberscope alveolar lavage in the treatment of the children with lobar pneumonia can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the levels of lung function indexes,shorten the symptom improvement time and the hospitalization time,and reduce the levels of inflammatory indexes.Moreover,it is superior to single bronchofiberscope alveolar lavage treatment.
