Effects of Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotic de-escalation regimen in treatment of patients with severe pneumonia infected with drug-resistant bacteria
Objective:To observe effects of Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotic de-escalation regimen in treatment of patients with severe pneumonia infected with drug-resistant bacteria. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with severe pneumonia infected by drug-resistant bacteria admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to June 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group. Both groups were given symptomatic treatment. On this basis, the control group was treated with antibiotic de-escalation regimen, while the observation group was treated with Tanreqing injection on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS),the lung function indexes[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),FEV1/FVC]levels,the inflammatory indexes[C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6),white blood cell count(WBC)]levels before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.00%(47/50),which was higher than 80.00%(40/50)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the CPIS score and the levels of CRP,PCT,IL-6 and WBC in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of FEV1,FVC and FEV1/FVC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusions:Tanreqing injection combined with antibiotic de-escalation regimen can improve the total effective rate and the lung function index levels, and reduce the CPIS scores and the inflammatory index levels in patients with severe pneumonia caused by drug-resistant bacteria infection. Moreover,it is superior to single antibiotic de-escalation regimen treatment.
