Application effects of quality traceability management system in instrument cleaning and disinfection management in central sterile supply department
Objective:To explore application effects of quality traceability management system in instrument cleaning and disinfection management in central sterile supply department(CSSD).Methods:From August 2020 to August 2021,386 instruments managed by conventional management in the CSSD in the hospital were selected as the control group, and from September 2021 to September 2022,386 instruments managed by quality traceability management system were selected as the observation group. The qualified rate of instrument management quality, the missing rate of work quality, and the satisfaction of medical staff were compared between the two groups. Results:The qualified rate of instrument cleaning, packaging, disinfection and sterilization, and distribution in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of wet packs, the number of missing instruments, and the loss rate of instruments in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the satisfaction scores of medical staff on instrument sending and receiving speed, instrument cleaning and disinfection effect, packaging quality, supply timeliness, communication service, work responsibility, technical level and work efficiency in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The quality traceability management system for the CSSD instrument cleaning and disinfection management can improve the qualified rate of instrument management quality and the satisfaction score of medical staff, and reduce the loss rate of work quality. Moreover,it is superior to conventional management.
