Application effects of cluster the nursing in EICU critically ill patients with artificial airway
Objective:To observe application effects of cluster the nursing in emergency intensive care unit(EICU)critically ill patients with artificial airway. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 92 critically ill patients with artificial airway admitted to EICU of the hospital from August 2020 to August 2022.They were divided into observation group and control group by using the random number table method,46 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the cluster the nursing. The blood gas analysis indexes[arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),blood oxygen saturation(SaO2)]levels,the comfort[Kolcaba's general comfort questionnaire(GCQ)]score before and after the nursing, the incidence of complications, the rehabilitation time(mechanical ventilation time,EICU stay time, hospitalization time),and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the levels of PaO2 and SaO2 in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group;the PaCO2 levels of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the control group was 17.39%(8/46),which was higher than 4.35%(2/46)in the observation group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The GCQ scores of psychology, physiology, social culture and environment in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The mechanical ventilation time, the EICU stay time and the hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction scores of health guidance, nursing methods, communication attitude, nursing effect and safety management in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The cluster nursing in the EICU critically ill patients with artificial airway can improve the comfort and the nursing satisfaction scores, shorten the recovery time, improve the levels of blood gas analysis indexes, and reduce the incidence of complications. Moreover,it is superior to routine nursing.
