Application effects of evidence-based nursing in respiratory tract nursing of severe patients after tracheotomy in neurosurgery department
Objective:To observe application effects of evidence-based nursing in respiratory tract nursing of severe patients after tracheotomy in neurosurgery department. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 82 severe patients in neurosurgery department who underwent tracheotomy in this hospital from March 2021 to May 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,41 cases in each group. The control group was received routine nursing, while the observation group was received the evidence-based nursing. The levels of blood gas indexes[arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial oxygen saturation(SaO2)]before and after the nursing, the rehabilitation indexes(catheter indwelling time,ICU stay time, total hospitalization time),the incidence of complications, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the levels of PaO2 and SaO2 in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group;the levels of PaCO2 in the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The catheter indwelling time, the ICU stay time and the total hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.88%(2/41),which was lower than 21.95%(9/41)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 97.56%(40/41),which was higher than 82.93%(34/41)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of evidence-based nursing in the respiratory tract nursing of the severe patients after tracheotomy in neurosurgery department can improve the blood gas index levels, shorten the recovery time, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the patients'nursing satisfaction. Moreover,it is superior the routine nursing.
