Application effects of quality control circle activities in children with mechanical ventilation in neonatal intensive care unit
Objective:To observe application effects of quality control circle activities in children with mechanical ventilation in neonatal intensive care unit(NICU).Methods:A total of 64 children with mechanical ventilation admitted to the NICU of this hospital from June 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the control group, and routine nursing was performed. In addition,64 children with mechanical ventilation admitted to the NICU of the hospital from July 2021 to July 2022 were selected as the observation group, and the quality control circle activities were implemented. The incidence of skin damage, the hospitalization time, the mechanical ventilation time, and the parents'nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The incidence of skin damage in the observation group was 3.12%(2/64),which was lower than 14.06%(9/64)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The mechanical ventilation and the hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the scores of parents'nursing satisfaction on health education, communication attitude, operation technology and nursing service in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of quality control circle activities in the NICU children with mechanical ventilation can reduce the incidence of skin damage, shorten the mechanical ventilation time and the hospitalization time, and improve the parents'nursing satisfaction. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
