Effects of Shengji Jiedu decoction combined with dipping bath on patients with residual burn wounds
Objective:To observe effects of Shengji Jiedu decoction combined with dipping bath on patients with residual burn wounds. Methods:The clinical data of 200 patients with residual burn wounds admitted to this hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with dipping bath, while the observation group was treated with Shengji Jiedu decoction on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the wound area after the treatment, the pain mediator indexes[5-hydroxytryptamine,neuropeptide Y,prostaglandin E2]levels,the pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, the quality of life[concise burn health survey(BSHS-A)]score before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.00%(95/100),which was higher than 82.00%(82/100)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3,7 and 14 days of treatment, the wound areas of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine,neuropeptide Y and prostaglandin E2 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The BSHS-A scores of physical function, psychological function, social relationship and general health status in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the treatment, there were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups. Conclusions:Shengji Jiedu decoction combined with dipping bath in the treatment of the patients with residual burn wounds can improve the total effective rate and the quality of life scores, reduce the wound area, and reduce the levels of pain mediators and the VAS scores. Moreover,it is superior to single dipping bath treatment.
