Clinical analysis of 2 cases of malignant syndrome caused by antipsychotic drugs
Objective:To analyze 2 cases of malignant syndrome caused by antipsychotic drugs.Methods:The clinical data of 2 patients with malignant syndrome caused by antipsychotic drugs in this hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Results:The two patients were both schizophrenics.After receiving the combination treatment of two antipsychotic drugs,they developed fever,myotonia,and elevated creatine kinase levels.The antipsychotic drugs were discontinued immediately after the diagnosis of malignant syndrome,and these patient was discharged after effective treatment.Conclusions:The main clinical manifestations of the patients with malignant syndrome are fever,myotonia,and elevated creatine kinase levels.Early diagnosis and treatment can improve their prognosis.
