Objective:To explore status and influencing factors of self-advocacy ability of breast cancer survivors. Methods:The clinical data of 239 patients with primary breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy admitted to the hospital from September 2019 to September 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The female self-advocacy in cancer survivorship(FSACS)was used to evaluate the status of patients'self-advocacy ability, and the self-advocacy abilities of the patients with different general data were compared. The influencing factors of low self-advocacy ability of the breast cancer survivors were analyzed. Results:The average FSACS score of the breast cancer survivors was(67.76±9.02)points,which was at a moderate level. There were no significant differences in the FSACS scores among the breast cancer survivors with different ages, personality characteristics, marital status, duration of illness, fertility, surgical methods, nature of work, chemotherapy cycle, pathological types, and medical insurance(P>0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the scores among the breast cancer survivors with different family per capita monthly income, education level,self-efficacy,sense of coherence and social support(P<0.05).Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that the family per capita monthly income≤4000 yuan, junior high school education level and below, low level of self-efficacy,low level of sense of coherence and low level of social support were risk factors for the low self-advocacy ability of the breast cancer survivors(P<0.05).Conclusions:Family per capita monthly income≤4000 yuan, education level of junior high school and below, low level of self-efficacy,low level of psychological consistency, and low level of social support are the risk factors for the low self-advocacy ability of breast cancer survivors.
