Effects of Tiotropium bromide combined with whole lung lavage in treatment of pneumoconiosis complicated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective:To observe effects of Tiotropium bromide combined with whole lung lavage in treatment of pneumoconiosis complicated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods:The clinical data of 82 patients with pneumoconiosis complicated with COPD admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Ganzhou from January 2020 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group(40 cases)and observation group(42 cases).Both groups were given routine treatment.On this basis,the control group was treated with whole lung lavage,while the observation group was treated with Tiotropium bromide on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the lung function indexes[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF)]levels,the blood gas analysis indexes[arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),pH]levels,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.62%(41/42),which was higher than 80.00%(32/40)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of FEV1,FVC and PEF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the level of PaCO2 in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the levels of PaO2 and pH were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Tiotropium bromide combined with whole lung lavage can improve the total effective rate,the lung function index levels and the blood gas analysis index levels in the treatment of the pneumoconiosis patients with COPD.Moreover,it is superior to single whole lung lavage.
