Effects of carbon dioxide lattice laser combined with Azelaic acid cream in treatment of patients with rosacea
Objective:To observe effects of carbon dioxide lattice laser combined with Azelaic acid cream in treatment of patients with rosacea.Methods:The clinical data of 98 patients with rosacea admitted to this hospital from November 2022 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,49 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Azelaic acid cream,while the observation group was treated with carbon dioxide lattice laser on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the clinical symptoms(pustules,papules,erythema)score and the levels of inflammatory factors[soluble interleukin-2 receptor(SIL-2R),interleukin(IL)-6,IL-37]before and after the treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions,and the recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.92%(47/49),which was higher than 83.67%(41/49)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of clinical symptoms such as pustules,papules and erythema in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6,SIL-2R and IL-37 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After 1 month of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the observation group was 2.04%(1/49),which was lower than 16.33%(8/49)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Carbon dioxide lattice laser combined with Azelaic acid cream in the treatment of the patients with rosacea can improve the clinical efficacy,reduce the clinical symptoms,reduce the inflammatory response and reduce the recurrence rate.Moreover,it is superior to single Azelaic acid cream treatment.
