Application effects of rehabilitation training based on virtual reality technique in children with cerebral palsy
Objective:To explore application effects of rehabilitation training based on virtual reality(VR)technique in children with cerebral palsy. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 102 children with cerebral palsy admitted to the hospital from May 2020 to July 2022.They were divided into control group and observation group by using the random number table method,51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation training, while the observation group was given the rehabilitation training based on VR technique. The gross motor function classification system(GMFCS)grading, the upper limb function[quality of upper extremity skill(QUEST)]score, the balance ability[Berg balance scale(BBS)]score, the rehabilitation compliance, and the self-care ability[modified Barthel index(MBI)]score were compared between the two groups before and after the training. Results:After 3 months of training, the GMFCS grading of the observation group was better than that of the control group, the scores of QUEST,BBS,rehabilitation compliance and MBI were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The rehabilitation training based on VR technique can improve the rehabilitation compliance of the children with cerebral palsy, improve their upper limb function, gross motor function and balance ability, thereby improving their self-care ability. Moreover,it is superior to the routine rehabilitation training.
