Effects of Huayu Chushi Zhitong formula retention enema combined with Refu Xaioyan powder for external application in treatment of patients with pelvic inflammatory mass
Objective:To observe effects of Huayu Chushi Zhitong formula retention enema combined with Refu Xaioyan powder for external application in treatment of patients with pelvic inflammatory mass.Methods:A total of 148 patients with pelvic inflammatory mass admitted to this hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were selected for the prospective study.They were divided into control group and observation group by using the random number table method,74 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Refu Xaioyan powder for external application,while the observation group was treated with Huayu Chushi Zhitong formula retention enema on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome score,the pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score,the pelvic mass volume,the inflammatory factors[interleukin(IL)-2,IL-10,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.30%(72/74),which was higher than 86.49%(64/74)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as lower abdominal distending pain,lumbosacral distending pain,abnormal leucorrhea and mental fatigue in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;the pelvic mass volume in the two groups were smaller than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of IL-2 and IL-10 in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group;the levels of TNF-α in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the treatment,there were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups.Conclusions:Huayu Chushi Zhitong formula retention enema combined with Refu Xaioyan powder for external application in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory mass can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of inflammatory factors,reduce the TCM syndrome scores and the VAS scores,and reduce the pelvic mass volume.Moreover,it is superior to single Refu Xaioyan powder for external application treatment.
