Value of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 levels in prediction of prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer
Objective:To investigate predictive value of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen(CA)125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 levels for poor prognosis in patients with pancreatic cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 73 patients with pancreatic cancer admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with FP regimen(Fluorouracil and Cisplatin)chemotherapy.According to the prognosis of chemotherapy, they were divided into good prognosis group(22 cases)and poor prognosis group(51 cases). The levels of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 before chemotherapy were compared between the two groups.Logistic regression was used to analyze the effect of each index on poor prognosis. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of single detection and combine detection of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9,and CA72-4 levels for poor prognosis in the patients with pancreatic cancer. Results:Before chemotherapy, the levels of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the elevated serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 levels before chemotherapy were risk factors for poor prognosis in the patients with pancreatic cancer(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of combined detection of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 levels before chemotherapy in the prediction of poor prognosis of the patients with pancreatic cancer was 0.889,which was higher than that of single index detection. Conclusions:The elevated levels of serum CEA,CA125,CA19-9 and CA72-4 are risk factors for poor prognosis of the patients with pancreatic cancer after chemotherapy.Further, the predictive value of combined detection of each index for poor prognosis is higher than that of single index detection.
