Application effects of acupoint application nursing in patients with cerebrovascular disease in intensive care unit
Objective:To observe application effects of acupoint application nursing in patients with cerebrovascular disease in intensive care unit(ICU).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 70 patients with cerebrovascular disease admitted to the ICU of the hospital from January 2019 to August 2022.They were divided into control group and observation group by drawing lots,35 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the observation group was given the acupoint application nursing on the basis of that of the control group.The gastrointestinal function,the constipation score,the quality of life[patient assessment of constipation quality of life(PAC-QOL)]score,the electrogastrogram apparatus parameter levels,and the gastrointestinal recovery(each defecation time and abdominal distension relief time)were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing.Results:After the nursing,the levels of motilin and substance P in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the constipation score and the PAC-QOL score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,the ascending colon amplitude,transverse colon amplitude,ascending colon peristalsis frequency and transverse colon peristalsis frequency in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,each defecation time and the abdominal distension relief time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)..Conclusions:The acupoint application nursing on the basis of the routine nursing can improve the levels of motilin,substance P and electrogastrogram apparatus parameters in the ICU patients with cerebrovascular disease,shorten each defecation time and the abdominal distension relief time,and reduce the constipation scores and the quality of life scores.Moreover,it is superior to single routine nursing.
