Effects of high energy laser therapy combined with suspension training in treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation
Objective:To observe effects of high energy laser therapy combined with suspension training in treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:The clinical data of 164 patients with LDH admitted to this hospital from October 2020 to September 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and study group,82 cases in each group. Both groups were given basic treatment. On this basis, the control group was treated with suspension training, while the study group was treated with high energy laser therapy on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 months. The clinical efficacy, the lumbar function[Japanese Orthopaedic association(JOA)]score, the pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, and the pain factors[prostaglandin E2(PEG2),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),substance P(SP)]levels were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 95.12%(78/82),which was higher than 81.71%(67/82)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).1 and 2 months after the treatment, the JOA scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the VAS scores were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of PEG2,5-HT and SP in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:High energy laser therapy combined with suspension training in the treatment of the LDH patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the lumbar function scores, reduce the pain scores and the pain factor levels. Moreover,it is superior to single suspension training.
