Effects of Ginkgo biloba extract injection combined with Mecobalamin in treatment of patients with sudden deafness
Objective:To observe effects of Ginkgo biloba extract injection combined with Mecobalamin in treatment of patients with sudden deafness.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with sudden deafness admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to December 2022.According to the random number method,they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Mecobalamin injection,while the observation group was treated with Ginkgo biloba extract injection on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the symptom disappearance time,the serological indexes[soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(sVCAM-1),lipid peroxide(LPO),superoxide dismutase(SOD),calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)]levels,the pure tone hearing threshold,before and after the treatment and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.00%(47/50),which was higher than 76.00%(38/50)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of deafness,tinnitus,vertigo and other symptoms in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,the hearing thresholds at 250,1000 and 4000 Hz after the treatment were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of serum SOD and CGRP in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the levels of sVCAM-1 and LPO were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Ginkgo biloba extract injection combined with Mecobalamin in the treatment of the patients with sudden deafness has a significant effect,which can accelerate the relief of symptoms,improve the hearing levels and improve the levels of serological indexes.Moreover,it is superior to single Mecobalamin treatment.
