Effects of Leuprorelin combined with Progesterone in treatment of endometrial hyperplasia without atypia
Objective:To observe effects of Leuprorelin combined with Progesterone in treatment of endometrial hyperplasia without atypia(EH).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with EH admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to January 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets,while the study group was treated with Leuprorelin acetate microspheres for injection on the basis of that of the control group.The levels of sex hormones[luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2)],the endometrial thickness,the menstrual period,the clinical efficacy,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:After the treatment,the levels of LH,FSH and E2 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the endometrial thickness levels of the two groups were smaller than those before the treatment,and that in the study group was smaller than that in the control group;the menstrual period levels of the two groups were shorter than those before the treatment,and that in the study group was shorter than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 97.67%(42/43),which was higher than 69.77%(30/43)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Leuprorelin combined with high-dose Progesterone in the treatment of the EH patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment,reduce the endometrial thickness,shorten the menstrual period and reduce the sex hormone levels.Moreover,it is superior to single Progesterone therapy.
