Application effects of inspiratory muscle training in patients with chronic heart failure
Objective:To observe application effects of inspiratory muscle training in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 103 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to this hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group(51 cases)and observation group(52 cases). The control group received routine cardiac rehabilitation training, while the observation group received inspiratory muscle training on the basis of that of the control group. The cardiopulmonary endurance indexes[left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),peak oxygen uptake(VO2peak),ventilatory equivalent for carbon dioxide slope(VE/VCO2)]levels,the inspiratory muscle function indexes[peak inspiratory flow rate(PIF),maximum inspiratory pressure(MIP)]levels, and the diaphragm function indexes[diaphragmatic thickening rate(DTF),end-inspiratory diaphragmatic thickness(DTei),end-expiratory diaphragmatic thickness(DTee),diaphragm mobility]levels were compared between the two groups before and after the training. Results:After the training, the levels of LVEF and VO2peak in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the level of VE/VCO2 was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the training, the levels of PIF and MIP in the two groups were higher than those before the training, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the training, the DTF of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, the DTei,DTee and diaphragm mobility were larger than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the routine cardiac rehabilitation training, the inspiratory muscle training can improve the levels of inspiratory muscle function indexes in the patients with chronic heart failure, and improve the levels of cardiopulmonary endurance and diaphragmatic function indexes. Moreover,it is superior to single routine cardiac rehabilitation training.
