Effects of wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with staged exercise rehabilitation training on postoperative patients with rotator cuff injury
Objective:To observe effects of wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with staged exercise rehabilitation training on postoperative patients with rotator cuff injury. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 92 patients with rotator cuff injury treated in this hospital from March 2022 to April 2023.They were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with staged exercise rehabilitation training, while the observation group was treated with wrist-ankle acupuncture on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The excellent and good rate of rehabilitation, the self-care ability[functional independence measure(FIM)]score, the pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, the shoulder joint range of motion(external rotation, abduction, flexion)before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The excellent and good rate of rehabilitation in the observation group was 95.65%(44/46),which was higher than 80.43%(37/46)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the FIM score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the VAS score was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the shoulder joint range of motion of external rotation, abduction and flexion in the observation group was greater than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups during the treatment.Conclusions:Wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with staged exercise rehabilitation training can improve the excellent and good rate of rehabilitation, the self-care ability score, increase the shoulder joint range of motion, and reduce pain scores in the postoperative patients with rotator cuff injury. Moreover,it is superior to single staged exercise rehabilitation training.
