Effects of Motherwort injection combined with Oxytocin injection in prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in parturients with cesarean section
Objective:To observe effects of Motherwort injection combined with Oxytocin injection in prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in parturients with cesarean section.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 182 parturients with cesarean section admitted to the hospital from March 2020 to February 2023.According to the random number table method,they were divided into study group and control group,91 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Oxytocin injection after delivery,while the study group was treated with Motherwort injection on the basis of that of the control group.The amount of bleeding 2h and 24h after delivery,the hospitalization time,the coagulation indexes[D-dimer,activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),thrombin time(TT),prothrombin time(PT)and fibrinogen]levels,the malondialdehyde level,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The amount of bleeding 2 h and 24 h after delivery in the study group was lower than that in the control group,the hospitalization time was shorter than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 24 h after delivery,the levels of D-dimer and FBG in the two groups were higher than those before delivery,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;the PT,APTT and TT levels in the two groups were shorter than those before delivery,those in the study group were shorter than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 24 h after delivery,the levels of serum malondialdehyde in the two groups were higher than those before delivery,but that in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Motherwort injection combined with Oxytocin injection in the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage in the parturients with cesarean section can reduce the amount of bleeding 2 h and 24 h after delivery and the levels of malondialdehyde,shorten the hospitalization time and improve the levels of coagulation indexes.Moreover,it is superior to single Oxytocin injection prevention.
