Application effects of information quality traceability system in medical device management of central sterile supply department
Objective:To explore application effects of information quality traceability system in medical device management in central sterile supply department(CSSD).Methods:A total of 1018 instruments received during the regular management period(June 2020 to June 2021)of CSSD in Zhengzhou children's hospital were selected as the control group,and 1018 instruments received after the application of information quality traceability system management(July 2021 to July 2022)were selected as the observation group.The quality of medical device management(unqualified rate of cleaning,sterilization and packaging)and the satisfaction of medical staff in each department with CSSD were compared between the two groups.Results:The unqualified rates of cleaning,packaging and sterilization of medical devices in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the satisfaction of medical staff in each department to the service attitude,technical level,timeliness of equipment supply,structure and function of instrument and sterility of instrument in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The information quality traceability system in the medical device management in CSSD can improve the management quality,reduce the unqualified rate of cleaning,packaging and sterilization of medical devices,improve the satisfaction of medical staff in various departments,and effectively ensure the medical safety.
