Effects of Methylprednisolone sodium succinate combined with Epinephrine in treatment of patients with allergic shock
Objective:To observe effects of Methylprednisolone sodium succinate combined with Epinephrine in treatment of patients with allergic shock.Methods:The clinical data of 80 patients with allergic shock admitted to this hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment options,they were divided into study group(n=40)and control group(n=40).The control group was treated with Epinephrine,while the study group was treated with Methylprednisolone sodium succinate for injection on the basis of that of the control group.The rescue success rate,the clinical symptom improvement time of successful rescue patients,the blood gas analysis indexes[arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),blood oxygen saturation(SpO2)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The rescue success rate of the study group was 95.00%(38/40),which was higher than 77.50%(31/40)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement time of clinical symptoms such as dyspnea,chest tightness,palpitation,rash and blood pressure drop in the study group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 h of treatment,the levels of PaO2 and SpO2 in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;the PaCO2 level of the two groups of successful rescue patients was lower than that before the treatment,and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Methylprednisolone sodium succinate combined with Epinephrine in the treatment of the patients with allergic shock can improve the rescue success rate,shorten the clinical symptom improvement time in the patients with successful rescue,and improve the levels of blood gas analysis indexes in the patients with successful rescue.Moreover,it is superior to single Epinephrine treatment.
