Effects of Gongxuening capsules combined with Estrogen and Progesterone sequential therapy on patients with vaginal bleeding after medical abortion
Objective:To observe clinical effects of Gongxuening capsules combined with Estrogen and Progesterone sequential therapy on patients with vaginal bleeding after medical abortion.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 90 patients with vaginal bleeding after medical abortion admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to June 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Estrogen and Progesterone sequential therapy(oral Estradiol valerate tablets+Progesterone capsules),while the observation group was treated with Gongxuening capsules on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the vaginal hemostasis time,the menstrual recovery time,the endometrial thickness and the sex hormone levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.11%(41/45),which was higher than 71.11%(32/45)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal hemostasis time and the menstrual recovery time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the endometrial thickness of the observation group was greater than that of the control group,the Estradiol level was higher than that of the control group,the progesterone level was lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Gongxuening capsules combined with Estrogen and Progesterone sequential therapy in the treatment of vaginal bleeding after medical abortion can improve the total effective rate of treatment,shorten the vaginal hemostasis time and the menstrual recovery time,promote the endometrial repair,and improve the estradiol and progesterone levels.Moreover,it is superior to single Estrogen and Progesterone sequential therapy.
