Comparison of effects of different pulmonary surfactants combined with bi-level positive airway pressure ventilation in treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome
Objective:To compare effects of different pulmonary surfactants combined with bi-level positive airway pressure(BIPAP)in treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(NRDS).Methods:The clinical data of 90 children with NRDS admitted to this hospital from 2021 to 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into study group and control group,45 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with BIPAP.On this basis, the control group was treated with Calf pulmonary surfactant for injection, while the study group was treated with Poractant alfa injection. The clinical efficacy, the levels of lung function indexes[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),FEV1/forced vital capacity(FVC)],blood gas analysis indexes[arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)]before and after the treatment, and the clinical related indexes(hospitalization expenses, hospitalization time, average body mass),and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 91.11%(41/45),which was higher than 73.33%(33/45)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the level of PaCO2 in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the level of PaO2 was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The hospitalization time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the hospitalization expenses was less than that of the control group, the average body mass level was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Porcine pulmonary surfactant combined with BIPAP in the treatment of the children with NRDS can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the levels of lung function indexes and improve the levels of blood gas analysis indexes and clinical related indexes. Moreover,it is superior to calf pulmonary surfactant combined with BIPAP treatment.
