Application effects of extending nursing based on empowerment theory in patients with chronic heart failure
Objective:To observe application effects of extending nursing based on empowerment theory in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 84 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to this hospital from May 2020 to May 2021.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given extending nursing based on empowerment theory. The scores of self-efficacy[general self-efficacy scale(GSES)]and physical function[Chinese version of short physical performance test(CM-PPT)]before and after the nursing, and the health behavior compliance after the nursing were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the GSES scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The CM-PPT scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of health behavior compliance such as rational diet, correct medication, regular exercise,self-test pulse and regular follow-up in the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The extending nursing based on empowerment theory in the patients with chronic heart failure can improve the patients'self-efficacy and the health behavior compliance, and improve the physical function. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
