Effects of Metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets combined with Insulin aspart 30 injection in treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective:To observe effects of Metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets combined with Insulin aspart 30 injection in treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 182 patients with GDM admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to February 2023.According to the coin tossing method,they were divided into observation group and control group,91 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Insulin aspart 30 injection,while the observation group was treated with Metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets on the basis of that of the control group.The abortion rate,the natural delivery rate,the cesarean section rate,the blood glucose index[fasting blood glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG)]levels,the fasting insulin level,and the adipocytokines(adiponectin,leptin)level were compared between the two groups.Results:The natural delivery rate of the observation group was 81.32%,which was higher than 54.95%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The cesarean section rate of the observation group was 15.38%,which was lower than 39.56%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After delivery,the levels of adiponectin in the two groups of patients with successful delivery were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;the levels of fasting blood glucose,2hPG,fasting insulin and leptin were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the abortion rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets combined with Insulin aspart 30 injection in the treatment of the GDM patients can improve the natural delivery rate,improve the levels of adipocytokines in the patients with successful delivery,and reduce the cesarean section rate,the blood glucose index levels and the fasting insulin levels in the patients with successful delivery.Moreover,it is superior to single Insulin aspart 30 injection treatment.
