Application effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy combined with pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training in patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence
Objective:To observe application effects of biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy combined with pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training in patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods:The clinical data of 128 patients with postpartum SUI admitted to this hospital from March 2021 to May 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different intervention methods, they were divided into study group(n=64)and control group(n=64).The control group was given the pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training, while the study group was given the biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy on the basis of that of teh control group. The pelvic floor muscle fiber voltage level, the urodynamic indexes[detrusor pressure at maximum urinary flow rate(pQmax),maximum urethral closure force(PMUC),maximum urethral pressure(PMU),Valsalva leak point pressure(PVLP)]levels, the quality of life score, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention, the voltage levels of pelvic floor type I and type II muscle fibers in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of pQmax,PMUC,PMU and PVLP in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of personal life, coping style of urinary incontinence, social limitation and overall health perception in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the study group was 93.75%(60/64),which was higher than 81.25%(52/64)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Biofeedback electrical stimulation therapy combined with pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training can improve the voltage levels of pelvic floor muscle fibers, the urodynamic index levels, the nursing satisfaction and the quality of life in the postpartum SUI patients. Moreover,it is superior to single pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training.
