Effects of Danshen injection combined with Acetylcysteine aerosol inhalation in treatment of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective:To observe effects of Danshen injection combined with Acetylcysteine aerosol inhalation in treatment of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 78 patients with AECOPD admitted to the hospital from September 2022 to December 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group,39 cases in each group. Both groups were given routine treatment. On this basis, the control group was treated with Acetylcysteine aerosol inhalation, while the observation group was treated with Danshen injection on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 14 d.The clinical efficacy, the inflammatory indexes[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]levels,the T cell subsets(CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+)levels and the St.George's respiratory questionnaire(SGRQ)scores before and after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.87%(37/39),which was higher than 76.92%(30/38)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of CD3+,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the level of CD8+was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 7 and 14 days of treatment, the SGRQ scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Danshen injection combined with Acetylcysteine aerosol inhalation in the treatment of the AECOPD patients can improve the total effective rate of treatment, reduce the levels of inflammatory indexes and the SGRQ scores, and improve the levels of T cell subsets. Moreover,it is superior to single Acetylcysteine aerosol inhalation therapy.
