Application effects of medical nutrition intervention in pregnant women with borderline impaired glucose tolerance
Objective:To observe application effects of medical nutrition intervention in pregnant women with borderline impaired glucose tolerance(BGGI).Methods:The clinical data of 96 pregnant women with BGGI admitted to this hospital from March 2020 to March 2021 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different intervention methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,48 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nutrition intervention, while the observation group was given the medical nutrition intervention on the basis of that of the control group. The levels of maternal body mass growth, adverse pregnancy outcome, neonatal outcome, and glucose metabolism indexes[fasting blood glucose(FPG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc)]were compared before and after intervention between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in the incidence of gestational hypertension between the two groups(P>0.05).The body mass growth of the pregnant women, the incidence of cesarean section, postpartum hemorrhage and gestational diabetes mellitus in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia, neonatal jaundice, fetal growth restriction, and entry into the neonatal intensive care unit between the two groups(P>0.05).The neonatal body mass level and the incidence of macrosomia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the Apgar score was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,before and 12 weeks after delivery, the levels of FPG,2hPG and HbAlc in the observation group were lower than those before the intervention and the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the routine nutrition intervention, the medical nutrition intervention can reduce the maternal body mass growth and the glucose metabolism index levels of the BGGI pregnant women, and improve the adverse pregnancy outcome and neonatal outcome. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nutrition intervention.
