Effects of disposable intrauterine compression balloon combined with Carboprost tromethamine in treatment of patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia
Objective:To observe effects of disposable intrauterine compression balloon combined with Carboprost tromethamine in treatment of patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia. Methods:The clinical data of 114 patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia admitted to this hospital from October 2020 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment options, they were divided into control group and observation group,57 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Carboprost tromethamine, while the observation group was treated with disposable intrauterine compression balloon on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the postpartum hemorrhage volumes at different time periods, the coagulation function indexes[prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),thrombin time(TT)and fibrinogen(FIB)]levels before and after the treatment, the serum nitric oxide(NO)level, the nitric oxide synthase(NOS)level, and the incidence of adverse reactions within 3 days after the treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.49%(55/57),which was higher than 85.96%(49/57)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The hemorrhage volumes 1-2 d and 2-3 d after delivery in the observation group were less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the PT,APTT and TT in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the FIB level was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the levels of serum NO and NOS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Disposable intrauterine compression balloon combined with Carboprost tromethamine can improve the total effective rate of treatment, improve the levels of coagulation function indexes, and reduce the volume of postpartum hemorrhage and the serum NO and NOS levels. Moreover,it is superior to single Carboprost tromethamine treatment.
